In 1993 during Super Bowl XXVII on NBC, Bud Bowl had a major change in the fifth edition. The bottles were transitioned to CGI by Pacific Data Images (later PDI/DreamWorks), & the hosts were Ahmad Rashād & Karen Duffy. The previous human hosts in the third & forth editions were the late Keith Jackson, Don Meredith & Chris Berman. Team Budweiser won 4 times in a row, which was coached by Joe Namath after Bud Light's The Illuminator was caught by a Budweiser blimp. Speaking of The Illuminator, it was transformed from a Bud Light truck using a morphing effect by Team Bud Light's coach Corbin Bernsen with a radar. The sixth edition the following year did the exact same thing, this time hosted by Marv Albert & the CGI bottles including The Basher were done by Boss Film Studios. Same thing with the Pillsbury Doughboy, from stop motion to CGI.

The first computer animated movie not made by Pixar that I remembered
Before Shrek & Madagascar, there was Antz. Antz was released in Philippine theaters in 1998 before August 22, Sunday at 8 am the following year. I watched that movie on HBO when I was 4 years old & the ant characters have four legs instead of two legs for the ant characters in A Bug's Life. Both that movie & The Ant Bully have ant characters have four legs. The movie was made by Pacific Data Images (now known as PDI/DreamWorks) for DreamWorks which is responsible for making animated TV commercials & Visual effects for live-action movies. As of August 21, 1999 Saturday at 5 pm Pacific, Pacific Data Images were busy production for their second computer animated film for DreamWorks "Shrek", I hope Asian Americans really work at PDI for the production of Shrek back in 1999.
