The shorts are:
Box-Office Bunny
Chariots of Fur
Carrotblanca
 & Superior Duck.

Here's Box-Office Bunny.

Before The Powerpuff Girls, There was Sailor Moon

Back in 1998, I watched Sailor Moon S on ABC 5 (now TV5) when the show was dubbed in Tagalog. I do know that the Tagalog dub version of Sailor Moon premiered on ABC 5 in 1994, one year before the English dub premiered both in Canada & the United States. One of a lot of things that annoys me in the Tagalog dub is Sailor Moon's speech before the battle begins, "Ako ang magandang tagapagtanggol ng pag-ibig at katarungan! Ako si Sailor Moon! Parurusahan kita sa ngalan ng buwan!" ("I am the good champion of love and justice! I am Sailor Moon! Punish in the name of the month!"). During the airing of Sailor Moon S on ABC 5 in the Philippines, Sailor Moon aired on Cartoon Network's Toonami block every Weekday afternoon at 4 PM in the United States as of June 12, 1998 Friday. In Canada however, Sailor Moon still airs on YTV until the early 2000s. The only season of Sailor Moon that was not English dubbed as of today is Sailor Stars, although the last season of Sailor Moon aired on ABC 5 in the Philippines in the early 2000s & it was Tagalog dubbed. Usagi Tsukino was named Bunny in the Tagalog dubs of Sailor Moon & Sailor Moon R while she was named Serena in English dubs of the four seasons of Sailor Moon. The English dub of Sailor Moon also airs in the UK, Australia & New Zealand. With the exceptions of a few anime shows such as Yaiba, all the anime shows on ABC 5 were dubbed in Tagalog, same goes to ABS-CBN, GMA 7 & IBC 13 prior to 1999, August 22, Sunday at 8 AM to be exact. The Tagalized Sailor Moon theme song was sung by Angelika Dela Cruz & I shouldn't dare to listen to that. The first English dub of Sailor Moon was done by DIC Entertainment for the first 2 seasons & edited down to 82 episodes, The next one was done by Cloverway Inc. for the next 2 seasons & the episodes were edited by Cartoon Network in the United States. It makes 166 episodes in total. In the Tagalog dub however, it had 200 episodes & 5 seasons so far on ABC 5. I hope I should be watching the English dub of Sailor Moon which was done by DIC & Cloverway & I should soon looking forward for the English dub of Sailor Stars by Viz Media for another year. Amen to the Sailor Scouts.
UPDATE 2/23/2019: Viz Media will release the English dub of Sailor Moon Sailor Stars this May.

It's The Bearys!

I watched The Woody Woodpecker Show on Cartoon Network back in 2005 when I was 10 years old. The show had a series of cartoons such as Andy Panda & The Beary Family. Speaking of The Beary Family, The series was about Charlie Beary, the incompetent family man, his nagging wife Bessie, their well-meaning but half-witted teenage son Junior and their younger daughter Suzy, who later got a pet goose who never gets along with Charlie. All 28 cartoons feature the voice talents of Paul Frees & Daws Butler which both of them are dead as of July 10, 1989 Monday. I don't think those cartoons are funny.

Cartoon Network shows on GMA

In 2000, I watched Cow and Chicken on GMA when I was 5 years old & the show is on a NTSC format rather a PAL format that I watched on Cartoon Network. I watched a few episodes of the show on GMA. A year later, GMA first air both Johnny Bravo & The Powerpuff Girls when I was 6 years old. The Powerpuff Girls aired every Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 4 pm while Johnny Bravo aired every Tuesday & Thursday at 4 pm. The Powerpuff Girls on GMA is Tagalog dubbed while Johnny Bravo remains in English. I can still continue to watch The Powerpuff Girls on GMA until 2002, I should continue to watched that show on Cartoon Network with new episodes. I can remember Dexter's Laboratory on Studio 23 also.

I still watched them

When Cartoon Network started 24 hours a day in my country on July 1, 2001 Sunday, I watched reruns of original shows such as Dexter's Laboratory, Cow and Chicken & I Am Weasel. However, Dexter's Lab got new episodes on Cartoon Network between 2002 & 2004. In the mid 2000's, I can still watch Cow and Chicken & I Am Weasel on Cartoon Network when they're still in reruns. As of today, Dexter's Laboratory is the only Cartoon Network original that I could always remember.

Cartoon Showtime!

I can always remember the A Moment with Walter Lantz segments in The Woody Woodpecker Show when I watched it on Cartoon Network back in 2005.

I watched them on The All New Popeye Show

I can always remember the Private Olive Oyl segments in The All New Popeye Show when I watched it on Cartoon Network back in 2003. I don't think those segments are funny.

Welcome to Nostalgia!

I watched Popeye and Son on RPN every Saturday morning & I enjoyed it. It was the second & last Popeye cartoon to be produced by Hanna-Barbera. This show is the only Popeye cartoon to be animated overseas in Asia just like how cartoons from the mid to the late 1980s used to be animated overseas in Asia. It originally aired on CBS every Saturday morning between 1987 & 1988 & later on USA Network in 1989 in the United States. In the version, Popeye is not voiced by Jack Mercer due to his death in 1984. Instead, he was voiced by Maurice LaMarche & he continues to voice Popeye in the 1990s. The only person who died after the show is canceled for 13 episodes & one season was Marilyn Schreffler, the actress who voiced Olive Oyl, Lizzie, Puggy & The Sea Hag is already dead as of July 10, 1989 Monday. How come I didn't watch that show on Cartoon Network after The All New Popeye Show? That's because Marilyn Schreffler voiced Olive & Sea Hag in both shows. Maybe the TV animation renascence didn't start in the United States until the late 1989 after Mel Blanc died. The Filmation studio didn't live up competing Hanna-Barbera after its' closure in 1989 during the 1990s. For me, the Popeye theme song always get stuck in my head as a kid when I watched it on Cartoon Network during the late 1990s & the early 2000s. Maybe my childhood isn't ruined after all.

How come I watched Tagalog dubbed anime?

Between the mid 1990s & the late 2000s, Filipino children watched Tagalog dubbed anime on TV & they enjoyed it except for me. Tagalog dubbed anime started with Voltes V on IBC 13 in 1989 & it was short-lived. In the early 1990s, ABS-CBN started airing Tagalog dubbed anime & it will continue the tradition for years to come. Just before August 22, 1999 Sunday at 8 am PHT, Tagalog dubbed anime shows were aired on TV networks such as ABC, GMA & IBC. In the 2000s, most Tagalog dubbed anime shows were aired as well like on RPN, Studio 23 & Q. In 1998, I watched Ghost Fighter on IBC before it aired on GMA a year after. I watched Mojacko on GMA between 1998 & late 1999 & I don't like when it's not English dubbed. I don't even like Dragon Ball Z on GMA ether because it uses the word Kamehame-wave instead of Kamehameha. After Ghost Fighter disappears on GMA on August 6, 1999 Friday, it comes back in the mid 2000s. In 2006, I watched a cable channel called Hero & it's a channel that airs Tagalog dubbed anime shows. Between October 30, 2009 Friday & today, I don't like Tagalog dubbed anime in my life. I guess ABC still airs Sailor Moon as of August 22, 1999 Sunday at 8 am PHT. I'd rather skip it for now.

Prince Zardoz is Steve Armstrong's brother?

Every Filipino know as of August 22, 1999 Sunday at 8 am PHT that at the end of the movie "Voltes V: The Liberation", Dr. Ned Armstrong is Prince Zardoz's father & Steve Armstrong is he's brother. After Zardoz kills his uncle Emperor Zu Zambajil by throwing a dagger for his mother at him, he sacrificed himself by being a half-brother of the Armstrong brothers in flames. When the Voltes team leave Boazania to earth, Dr. Armstrong remains here at Boazania & tells Dr. Hook to take care of his sons so the Armstrong brothers will see their father in Boazania someday. & so, the Voltes V story ends with this epilogue: "After all these years, an epic saga of conquest and liberation spanning 14.000 light years has come to a close. Zanbajil's evil empire is no more. From its ashes, springs in an egalitarian republic under the benevolent guidance of presidium Emperor Hrothgar. The planet earth and Boazania have forged a perpetual alliance utilizing transfers of technology, highlighted by the peace time use of ultra electromagnetic energy and warp drive transport system. Amidst this backdrop of intergalactic harmony, stands Voltes V, protector of the galaxies, champion of the oppressed, ready to rise again against the dark forces of the universe." On TV, Voltes V can still be aired on GMA every Friday night at 7:30 pm until September 24 when the show was replaced by Pokémon the following week.

Those were my days

I remember watching animated TV shows in English on every Local networks in the Philippines like ABS-CBN, ABC, GMA & RPN & I watched every animated show in English on UHF networks like Studio 23 & Q. That's between August 22, 1999 Sunday at 8 am PHT & February 13, 2008 at 10:25 am PHT when I was 4 to 12 years old at that time, I already watched Christian animated shows on ZOE-TV between April 19, 1998 Sunday & August 22, 1999 Sunday at 8 am PHT. It been 8 years since I watched TV when it was not Christian related. I was in Sulucan, Bocaue, Bulacan back then & I was moved to Quezon City in 2007. The shows that I watched on every Local networks in the Philippines were Superman: The Animated Series, The Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries, Codename: Kids Next Door, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, SpongeBob SquarePants, Rainbow Fish, Maggie and the Ferocious Beast, Pokémon, The New Woody Woodpecker Show, Dragon Tales & more. I also watched shows on UHF networks like Batman Beyond, Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai X, Justice League, Franklin, X-Men Evolution, Poochini, Voltron: The Third Dimension & The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. Holy Week is what my parents enjoy between 1995 & 1999 when I was from a baby to a Preschooler when they watch Holy Week specials on TV. During the late 1990's before August 22, 1999 Sunday at 8 am PHT, my parents buy pirated VHSs & VCDs of some animated movies when we're not in a movie theater in every mall like SM & Robinsons. The problem is that the end credits were cut off when every movie is over. After that, my parents buy original VCDs of animated movies like Toy Story 2, Shrek 2, Madagascar, Over the Hedge, Chicken Little & Monsters Inc. Between 1999 & 2002, I watched Sesame Street on GMA during Seasons 30 to 32 every Weekday morning which I enjoyed the animated segments than the street scenes involving the Muppet characters which were not really animated characters. I refuse to watch CGI & Stop-motion movies between the late 1990's & the early 2000's until October of 2005, although I watched Robots & Madagascar in a movie theater in SM already before October in 2005. From 2006 onward, I enjoyed Computer animated movies & TV shows such as Bee Movie, Cars (film), Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Pet Alien, Open Season (2006 film), Meet the Robinsons, Over the Hedge (film), The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Kung Fu Panda, Space Chimps & more. As far as I can know, there are 3 Computer animated movies released in Philippines as of August 22, 1999 Sunday at 8 am PHT which is Toy Story, Antz & A Bug's Life. Before & After August 22, 1999 Sunday at 8 am PHT, I watched movie trailers of upcoming animated movies on IBC which I sadly didn't go a movie theater in every mall like SM & Robinsons when the movie's released. From 2002 to 2005, I lost my chance on watching Disney Channel when Home Cable removed it. Nickelodeon was also removed from the cable lineup until 2003, few months before the Post-1948 Warner Bros. cartoons first aired on Cartoon Network in my country. In 2000, I watched Popeye and Son on RPN 9 before I watched The All New Popeye Show on Cartoon Network a few years later. As a kid, the shows that I have to mute the volume are Codename: Kids Next Door & Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends but I decide it to watch with volume after October of 2005. I avoid watching Tagalog dubbed anime & cartoons before & after August 22, 1999 Sunday at 8 am PHT because Tagalog is not my favorite language as of today. I should enjoy reliving those memories.

Great America commercials (1980's)

As of July 10, 1989 Monday, the Looney Tunes costume characters were on every Six Flags parks like Six Flags Great America, formerly Marriott's Great America. Here are the commercials.

1990's Coca-Cola commercials

From July 10, 1989 Monday to today in the United States, people still drink Coca-Cola in its' original formula instead of New Coke from 1985. The 1990's commercials were featured on a show called "World's Wildest Commercials".

1990's Coca-Cola Polar Bears commercials

The Coca-Cola Polar Bears campaign started in 1993 & it continues in 2000's & 2010's in the United States. Here are the commercials.

Note: The commercials are done in computer animation.

1990's McDonald's commercials for children

I first saw those commercials on RetroJunk when I was 11 to 12 years old. I didn't know that Grimace, Hamburglar & Birdie the Early Bird can talk in every commercial. Speaking of Birdie, she's voiced by Russi Taylor which I know her as the current voice of Minnie Mouse.

Popeye the Quaker Man

A year after the cancellation of Popeye and Son on CBS, Popeye appears in a series of commercials promoting Instant Quaker Oatmeal in 1989. In these commercials, Popeye eats Instant Quaker Oatmeal instead of spinach. Maurice LaMarche voices Popeye here.

Looney Tunes in Asia in the 90's

As of August 22, 1999 Sunday, the Post-1948 Warner Bros. cartoons on TV networks throughout Asia in the 1990's years before it aired on Cartoon Network in 2003. Also, Looney Tunes characters like Bugs Bunny & Daffy Duck appeared in TV commercials in Asia like Mirinda for example:

However, the Pre-1948 Warner Bros. cartoons were aired not only on TV networks throughout Asia in the 1990's but on Cartoon Network throughout Asia starting in 1997. I watched The Bugs & Daffy Show as a kid on Cartoon Network during the late 1990's & the early 2000's before I watch The Looney Tunes Show in 2003.

The fear of the 1986 Walt Disney Home Video logo

During the late 1990's & the mid 2000's, the 1986 Walt Disney Home Video logo scared me as a kid whenever the VHS tapes were played. Here's my reaction.

Remember Shark Tale?

I far as I can remember, Shark Tale is the first computer animated film to be made in an animation studio in Southern California rather than to be made in New York like Blue Sky Studios or in Northern California such as Pixar & PDI/DreamWorks. I watched the movie in the car after someone buying a pirated VCD of that movie & later on, I buy the original VCD of that movie which I wanted to watch the full credits uncut. I sadly didn't watch the movie in theaters back when it was released in 2004 here. As of today, they're lots of animation studios in Los Angeles County, California that made computer animated films that were completed such as Walt Disney Animation Studios, DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Animation, Sony Pictures Imageworks & more. I hope animation studios in Los Angeles County, California can make computer animated films famous in the future.
